My fear of dentists started as a child when I had a not-so-nice dentist. The day of my appointment I was crying before I walked though the doors. The two ladies at the front desk could not have been more pleasant. I was greeted by a smiling hygienist who took notice of my fears and tried her best to make me feel at ease. When Dr.Gelfond came in, he was very understanding and considerate of my feelings. I never felt like he was in a rush to get me taken care of and out the door. I'm slowly building trust in Dentits again. If I didn't have insurance, I would still choose Ankeny Family Dental Center.
